At Active Traffic Management, we offer a wide selection of high-quality training and assessment courses that have been specifically developed for the Traffic Management Industry.

Our training is designed to support companies and individuals looking to develop their skills in a supportive professional environment, providing learners with the industry knowledge they need to work safely and effectively as a key member of any traffic management team.  You should attend the 12A/B One day course between 3 and 6 months after attending this training course to keep your qualifications current and progress further.

Highways England Passport Common Induction course – please note this course will become a mandatory requirement, for all persons wishing to access the Highways England network for work purposes, from 1st April 2019. In addition to the below training courses, we are also able to carry out all of the required assessments to a very high standard, in order for Learners to become registered operatives.

TTMBC
NHSS 12 A/B Temporary Traffic Management Basic Course

(Temporary Traffic Management Basic Course)

This course is your first step in starting on your new career in high-speed roads in temporary traffic management.

The Temporary Traffic Management Basic Course (TTMBC) is for all persons starting work for the first time within the high-speed temporary traffic management industry, and those persons that DO NOT hold any NHSS 12 A/B, C registration cards.

The course is delivered by a LANTRA certified trainer ensuring the quality of the course material.

You do not need any prior experience to take this course as all information and materials are provided on the day. The training will be completed within one day and is a classroom-based learning course.

Certification lasts for 6 months only. You should attend the 12A/B One day course between 3 and 6 months after attending TTMBC course in the first instance.

TTMBC
NHSS 12 A/B Temporary Traffic Management Basic Course

(Temporary Traffic Management Basic Course)

 This course is for all persons wanting to work on UK roads as part of a traffic management team on single carriageway roads.

On completion, you will become a 12D T1/T2 trainee.

The course is delivered by a LANTRA certified trainer ensuring the quality of the deliver course material.

You do not need any prior experience to take this course as all information and materials are provided on the day. The training will be complete within one day and is classroom based course.

Following the completion of the 12D T1/2 training course, the learner will receive a LANTRA certificate.

To obtain full operative status (TM card) you must complete a set of on and off-site assessments that are recorded in your assessment logbook.

*The assessments must be completed within a two year period starting from the date of passing the classroom-based training course.

12A FOREMAN 2 DAY COURSE
NHSS 12A Foreman Training

This course is for experienced traffic management operatives working on UK motorways and or high-speed dual carriageways that are or will be, required to supervise their crew performing temporary traffic management works.

On completion, you will have the necessary knowledge to become a Foreman of an NHSS 12A/B temporary traffic management team.

You will need prior experience in temporary traffic management and hold a 12A/B Operative certificate to take this course.  All course information and materials are provided on the day. The training will be complete within two days and is a classroom-based course.

The course is delivered by a LANTRA certified trainer ensuring the quality of the course material.
